GO Virginia Economic Development Coordinator

GWRC is looking for a Program Coordinator to provide professional support to the Mary Ball Washington Regional Council (GO Virginia Region 6) and ensure the George Washington Regional Commission fulfills its duties as the GO Virginia Region 6 Support Organization and Fiscal Agent. The successful candidate will hold at least a bachelor’s degree, with three years of experience and knowledge of economic development and/or business preferred. Specific qualities we are looking for include excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, an outgoing personality, excellent communication skills, and a creative and flexible mindset. Principal Planner

In support of our partner agency, the Fredericksburg Area Metropolitan Planning Organization or FAMPO, we are looking for a Principal Planner for transportation. This full-time position oversees several planning activities, administers several regional transportation planning programs, and manages a team of staff members. In addition to working with FAMPO staff, the Principal Planner works with stakeholders including federal, state, and local governments, elected officials, and the public. The qualified candidate will possess an effective knowledge of the transportation planning process, traffic and travel demand modeling processes, and federal and state regulations and guidance related to transportation programs and funding, including planning and programming for highways and bicycle and pedestrian modes.
