Rappahannock United Way
The Rappahannock United Way is a volunteer fund-raising organization benefiting member agencies which provide a range of health and human services. The United Way also provides information and referral and continually assesses community needs through the citizen review process. Administers the Combined Federal Campaigns at Quantico, Dahlgren, and Fort A.P. Hill, the Combined Virginia Campaign among state employees, the EnergyShare Program, and the Federal Emergency Management Assistance Program.
Virginia Association of Planning District Commissions
VAPDC undertakes activities and special projects to meet the collective needs of Virginia's PDCs. Annual activites include: legislative reception for the Virginia General Assembly; conferences to examine regional planning issues and legislative actions; annual Geographic Information Systems conference; legislative agenda; and sponsorship of workshops and conferences on topics of interest to the regional planning community.
Fredericksburg Regional Continuum of Care
The COC is a partnership of local agencies, shelters, social services providers and the GWRC established to address chronic homelessness in Planning District 16.
Rappahannock Regional Disability Services Board
The Rappahannock Regional Disability Services Board increases the awareness of the capabilities and needs of people with physical and sensory disabilities and promotes the inclusion of all people with disabilities in all community life. The Board advise state and local government agencies and, through incentive grants, leverage private and public dollars to improve service delivery and public awareness.
